RACE CATEGORIES PRO / OPEN 'WEEKEND WARRIORS' for all boats designed specifically for racing and all open category and non-traditional designs, i.e. outriggers, surfskies, warcanoes, 1st - 3rd place prizes will be awarded in this category to the first three finishers regardless of the number of paddlers in the craft and/or genders. Recreational Canoe Solo Female Solo Male Doubles Females Doubles Males Doubles Mixed FAMILY (any immediate family members/guardians please limit adult paddlers (over 18) to two per canoe at any time on the course. no limit on number of children paddling in family canoe +100 (ages of all in canoe must equal 100 or more) Recreational Kayak Solo Female Solo Male Doubles

Entry Fees - $14.00 per person Entries received BEFORE WEDNESDAY, JULY 9 will get a race T-shirt and lunch - Race Day registration includes lunch only NO T-shirts avaialable on race day. For non-participants there are several sandwich / ice cream shops located within a half mile of the take-out site. This is a fun race competition of 6 miles with possible class one rips and easy class 2 rapids. The race starts 11:00 A.M., Sunday July 13, at the Durham boat launch on Rte. 136 in Durham near the Durham / Auburn line. (Please note that this launch site is NOT the Durham River Parkalso on Rte. 136) The race finish is just under the railroad trestle where the Sabattus River joins the Androscoggin on Rte. 196 in Lisbon. Race day registration starts at 9:00 A.M. at the Durham boat launch. Usually a lot of boats. Please leave enough time to ensure getting on the river for the 11:00 A.M. mass start.
