MOxie Press release

**Update July 6, 2025**

Lisbon, Maine – The 41st Moxie Festival is only days away, with tens of thousands expected to converge on Lisbon to toast the state’s official soft drink and a word that has come to mean the tenacity and verve of its people. Organizers have several exciting additions to the three-day event, which carries a Hawaiian-inspired, “Hang Loose, Drink Moxie,” theme.

America’s Got Talent constant, viral youtuber, and Guinness world record holder Eric “Badlands” Booker has issued a challenge via his social media channels to reigning Moxie Chugging Champion Beau Bradstreet of Bridgton, Maine, that he intends to take the crown at the Moxie Festival’s annual Chugging Contest. Bradstreet has held the title for more than a decade and is the decided local favorite. The rivalry has been hinted at for the last several months, but The Moxie Festival can confirm that both Booker and Bradstreet, as well as many others, are officially registered for the event, happening 1:30pm on July 12th, at the Moxie Festival main stage at Lisbon High school.

A Hawaiian hula dancing demonstration, steel drum and ukulele bands highlight the Festival’s luau theme, and the Festival is slated to have performances from two nationally-acclaimed tribute bands coming to Maine for the first time. Another Tequila Sunrise Eagles Tribute will perform Friday night, with Changes in Latitudes, America’s Premier Jimmy Buffet tribute band, offering the headlining performance Saturday. Local favorites Runnin’ Down a Dream, The Smith Collaboration, and Glory Daze all take the stage throughout the three-day celebration. The 29th Annual Moxie Day 5K, Moxie Day Parade (one of the largest in the state) Moxie Fireworks, children’s area, food trucks, vendors, cornhole tournament and more promise a weekend of free family fun and of course, Moxie by the truckload.

All official Festival events are located at the Lisbon High School Campus, with the exception of Sunday’s Car Show at Beaver Park in Lisbon and Moxie Recipe Contest 11am Sunday at Olive Pit Brewing Co., Lisbon, Maine. For those unable to attend, The Moxie Festival will be livestreamed globally for the first time, sponsored by Androscoggin Bank. Events covered FREE via streamstate.tv include The Moxie Parade, the Moxie Chugging Contest, and the Whoopie Eating Contest can be viewed on demand at StreamState.TV this Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM. All details and information can be found at www.moxiefestival.com
